Order statuses explained: a plain-language glossary

Orders and Delivery · Published October 24, 2026 · 1 min read · By TMGuide

Status words can mean slightly different things depending on the stage. This glossary gives the general idea.

Status What it usually means
Processing The seller is preparing your item and has not handed it to a carrier.
Shipped A carrier has the parcel or it has left the warehouse.
In transit The parcel is moving between facilities or countries.
Customs The parcel is being checked at a border. Updates may pause.
Out for delivery A local carrier plans to deliver it today.
Delivered The carrier recorded delivery. Check the exact location noted.

How to use this

Compare the status with the dates shown on your order page. If a status has not changed for much longer than its normal range and the delivery estimate has passed, it is time to raise it with Temu.

Remember that different carriers use slightly different wording, so treat this as a guide, not a rulebook.
